of Company
Hammond Consulting is an independent IT
professional services and solutions firm that specializes in
enterprise network and security infrastructure. Since our founding
in 2001, we have focused on assisting our clients in creating and
supporting a computing environment that maximizes their investment
in Information Technology.
Our service offerings in the areas of
Network Engineering, Security, and Management allow our customers
to optimize and secure their network traffic and content. Our
solutions deliver the best possible performance, availability and
integrity to enable our customers to maximize the use of their
existing network or to plan for emerging technologies in the
future.

Principal’s Information
The founder of the company, Doug Hammond,
has over 20 years experience in the practical applications of
technology. He is widely known for his depth of expertise in the
fields of networking and systems and for his ability to get the
job done on-time and on-budget.
Mr. Hammond has extensive experience in the
IT field. His projects have included LAN/WAN implementation,
virtual private network design, Internet and Intranet
architecture, IT staffing and training; and procurement. He is a
published author of two books on
Switching by Coriolis
Press, and is a leading contributor on topics regarding networking
switching, routing and security matters.
As a
consultant, he has worked for clients in the private and public
sector, including the USAF, State of California, County of
Sacramento, and a variety of Cisco Gold and Silver partners,
including International Network Services and NEC Business Network
Solutions.
Mr. Hammond served in the United States Navy as a Hospital
Corpsman. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration (MIS concentration) from California State
University in Sacramento and his Bachelor of Science in Computer
Science from Coleman College in San Diego, CA. He is a Cisco
Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Certified Information
System Security Professional (CISSP).
Hammond Consulting consultants have an
average of ten years of experience in the field. Our staff
includes certified network professionals with certifications from
Microsoft (MCSE NT/2000), Novell (CNE/MCNE), Cisco (CCNP/CCDP),
Cisco Security Specialist (CSS1) and CISSP (Certified Information
Systems Security Professional.

Partnering Relationships
Hammond Consulting is a small firm but we can
handle large projects due to our strategic alliances with other
technology companies and individuals so that we can provide the
optimal network computing solutions and comprehensive technical
support to our clients. Yet, because of our size, we have very
little overhead, allowing us to hire the best people for the job,
while reducing the overall price of the project.
As we are not directly affiliated with any
hardware or software vendors, you can rely on our independence and
you can be sure that our recommendations are objective and based
on solving the business problem, and not meeting the sales
promotion goal of the quarter.
